G Skin & Beauty Institute is honored to have Dr. Florence Mussat, an Illinois Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with an office on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, training our esthetics students in the area of medical esthetics. Dr. Mussat instructs esthetics students in our program to learn:
- hands on microdermabrasion and chemical exfoliants
- pre and post operative treatments
- the theory and science of lasers
- theory of injectables such as fillers and neurotoxin inhibitors
- an esthetician’s role in a medical office
- how to combine your skills and knowledge to assist with cosmetic surgery patients
- how to work successfully with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon
- client retention and referrals in a medi-spa
- product ingredients and formulations to achieve results
- what skin conditions estheticians can treat and when to refer your client to a physician
All of Dr. Mussat’s classes are offered at either the Oakbrook or Chicago campuses. As a graduate of the esthetics program, you have the added benefit of being able to further your education at Dr. Mussat’s Advanced Training Center.
